Jack Keating is making a name for himself.
After hitting our tellies in Love Island, he’s hit our airwaves with his own weekend show on SPIN 1038.
We caught up with the man himself at the launch of this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards…
Hi Jack, how are you?
I’m great. I’m enjoying the weather. It’s great to be here. It’s nice to be nominated. I had no idea I was nominated.
Aw we’re delighted for you! We’re so jealous of your travels, where are you off to next?
I’ve got no plans yet. But I’ll definitely be going somewhere, maybe Dubai. My sister is over in New York, so I think I’ll go over to her. Maybe 4th of July, me and my mates are planning a trip over. I’ll definitely have to catch up on a bit of sun, for sure.
You’re a busy man. Tell us how your radio show is going.
SPIN’s going great, I have my four shows a weekend. Over the next few weeks I’ll be doing Breakfast. I’m filling in for a lot of different shows. It’s great. It’s keeping me busy, keeping me out of trouble so I can’t complain.
Was radio always the dream for you?
It wasn’t always something I thought I’d do. I’ve always been interested in music and I love listening to the radio and podcasts. When the opportunity came up, I jumped at it. They had me in for a couple of months, training me up and showing me the ropes. Then they threw me in at the deep end. It was sink or swim!

Apart from work, you’re a doting dad. How is Maya?
Maya turned two last month. I love her, she’s so great. She’s the biggest dote ever. I love her to bits. We have her for Easter this year for the first time.
Your family usually go all out with parties!
We usually do. Maya’s party was a bit lowkey this year. Everyone is all over the place. My dad and Storm and the kids are in Australia/Dubai, Missy’s in New York. This year has been a bit more under the radar, not too crazy. But in the next couple of years, I’m sure we’ll get back to it.
You are such a close-knit family, is it hard now that everyone is scattered across the globe?
It is definitely tough. I have my own apartment now, so I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like to. Especially with them being abroad. We are a bit older now, so we don’t really need to be in each other’s pockets. It was my birthday last month so me and my dad went away to Scotland. It was good. And when we do see each other we tend to make up for lost time.
What’s next for you?
I don’t know! I’m kept going with radio. And hopefully there’ll be a bit of presenting in the future. Maybe back in a few reality shows, you never know! We’ll see!
Well everytime there’s a new Love Island season announced, there’s always rumours you’re returning!
It’s news to me every time I hear it. But I have heard they’re casting at the moment for All Stars. I wouldn’t say no to it!
