Jennifer Zamparelli has revealed she missed her own sisters wedding day to appear on Irish tv show, Failte Towers.
The RTE 2FM presenter told the story of how a reality show came up just weeks ahead of her sisters big day, and she made the decision to miss out on the occasion!
Jen’s story comes as Irish Love Island contestant Maura Higgins is faced with the choice of having to leave the Villa if she is to make her sister’s wedding, which is coming up next month!
“I may have missed my sister’s wedding,” the mother of two told Lottie Ryan on her radio show yesterday.
“She kind of had a bit of a shotgun wedding and I was doing a very important show called Fáilte Towers.”
The Bridget and Eamonn star went on to explain that her sister, who only gave a few weeks notice ahead of her nuptials, was supportive of Jen’s decision, and that she ‘told her to go in.’
“I totally regret it now, because I was a bit of an a***hole in my 20’s. I am less now in my 30’s.
“You think this is a huge career [move] and it is so important. It was very important at the time and she was very relaxed about her wedding, she had a very small wedding. She told me not to bother and to do my thing, but I think she was secretly saying, ‘Please come to my wedding’ and I totally regret it now.
“I thought it was important and she might get married again. Now, looking back, I did the wrong thing.”
