Ladies, with Forbidden Fruit and Slane this weekened, festival season is officially here.
At VIP, we’re here to help you look your best this summer so we’ve put together a festival-inspired step by step hairstyle, guaranteed to give you the perfect festival look (think bohemian-chic with a touch of pastel brilliance!).
Simple and quick, this hairstyle will take you no time at all to create before partying up a storm at the fast-approaching music events around the country.
You will need:
- 25, 40cm Great Lengths bonds in 4 different shades.(Our tip: try bright colours like blue, pink and purple for a playful look.)
- Texturising power such as I.C.O.N. Texturiser.
- Flexible strength finishing spray.
- Section clips.
- Bobby pins.
Prep the hair with the Great Lengths bonds to put some multi-coloured strands into the hair. The sections of hair can be as thick or thin as you wish to achieve the colourful design.
Create a little texture in the hair by running some Texturiser Power to the roots and lengths. Use your fingers to rub in the product fully, so that no white residue is visable.
Create a centre parting then move it to one side. Take a small 1” section of hair from the front and begin to loosely plait until you reach the back of the head. Clip into place to hold the plait. We created a classic three-strand plait but you could experiment with a fishtail or waterfall braid if you so desired. Repeat on the other side.
Knot the plaits together at the centre back to secure. Add a few extra bobby pins if you feel the hair might fall free during the day.
Finish the look by teasing the plaits and lengths for extra texture. Spritz with a finishing spray to give extra hold.
