Here in VIP Towers, we’re big fans of our Style Awards sponsors, Peter Mark, who always get our locks looking luscious. So when we heard about rising young star at the salon, Conor Doyle, we had to track him down and get some of his expert hair care advice.

Conor recently won the very coveted L’Oreal Young Colourist of the Year award, and has a WEALTH of knowledge of all things tresses, so we had to ask him about how to achieve or maintain our favourite Irish A-listers looks.

Pippa O'Connor

“The key to maintaining blonde hair similar to Pippa’s, while keeping it looking its best is all in the condition. As soon as hair is lightened it becomes sensitized and needs a little TLC to prevent breakage and loss of shine. Look to Kerastase’s new Resistance range to strengthen up weakened hair and keep it looking healthy. Polishing with a little serum, such as Kerastase’s Elixir, goes a long way.”

“Natural colour and free flowing is the direction hair has been moving towards for quite some time now. We can see this beautifully demonstrated in Amy’s recent styles. To get that light movement and shine i’d recommend the ‘Crystaliste’ range within Kerastase. It’s a light weight formula that gives a natural shine without weighing hair down.”

Caroline at our Style Awards this year

Caroline Morahan

“Caroline’s hair never lacks in lusture or shine. Minimizing colour fade while pumping gloss in the hair is essential to keep coloured hair looking optimum. Redken Colour Magnetics delivers all the above and more.”
UNA

Una Healy

“When keeping hair looking voluptuous and full, similar to una’s trademark style , the right prepping and styling products are paramount. Start with a volumising shampoo and conditioner such as Kerastases ‘Volumifique’. Prep the hair with a volumizing product before stlying. Redkens ‘Full effect’ is a popular choice for us in the salon because it provides a great foundation for hold without any stickiness.”

Entourage Premiere 8

Sinead Kennedy

“Sinead has made icey tones her signature look. It’s a dramatic style that requires some serious upkeep. As the hair must be lightened the max possible, it is important to invest in a deeply nourishing haircare routine. Redken Extreme have launched a whole new range to target the every needs of distressed hair. To maintain that silver hue, L’Oreal silver shampoo once a week will carry you between salon visits.”
