When you think Glenda Gilson, you think glitz and glamour. Your mind doesn’t tend to wander to knitting patterns.
However, that is how the presenter got her start in the business.
Yes, little Glenda started modelling for Tivoli wool patterns when she was just three years old!
She took a trip down memory lane on Instagram as she shared a number of pictures of her as a child modelling the knitwear.

“When Tivoli wool patterns were a thing,” she wrote along with laughing emojis.
“Who’s granny/mammy knitted them one of these jumpers?”
Who didn’t, Glenda?!
The pictures show Glenda with curly brunette locks in a series of different jumpers, there’s even one of her wearing a knitted Communion shawl. She has some co-stars, because obviously Glenda is stealing the show, in the form of a young boy and a woman in a select few shots.
Fellow model Lynn Kelly was on hand to comment, “Oh my god @glendagilson you are the absolute image of Bobby!!!! I shot Tivoli for years too, fun times.”
Glenda and her husband Rob MacNaughton share two kids together, three-year-old Bobby and one-year-old Danny.

And it’s clear her eldest son, Bobby, is the spitting image of his mother from these throwback snaps!
“Id swear my mum knit us one of those patterns,” Jenny Greene added.
“I swear me mam had these patterns in the house for years, knitting for Ireland,” model Sarah Morrissey also commented.
Gillian Filan, Shane Filan’s wife, wrote, “No way !! I actually knit the yellow one in the last picture myself in 5th class with the help of my mum.”
Did you practice your knitting skills with any Tivoli patterns back in the day?
