First look at the final series of Game of Thrones

It’s been well over a year since Game of Thrones last graced our screens, but at long last, a sneak peek of the final season has been revealed.

While series 8 won’t be aired until 2019, Entertainment Weekly has released the first glimpse of the cast.

Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke, who play show favourites Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, grace the cover, cuddled up against a snowy backdrop.

Speaking about the series, producer Bryan Cogman told the publication, “It’s an incredibly emotional, haunting, bittersweet final season and I think it honours very much what [author George RR Martin] set out to do – which is flipping this kind of story on its head.”
