If you’ve started the year watching Heated Rivalry and Bridgerton, you might be looking for your next spicy hit.
And worry not because we actually won’t have to wait too long to be swooning at our screens again.
Things are going heat up this summer as Rivals returns to our screens for a second season.
Yes, the Jilly Cooper adaptation, which stars Irish actors Aidan Turner and Victoria Smurfit, will hit Disney+ in May.
So what can we expect from season two?
“The battle for the Central South West television franchise reaches a fever pitch as the war between Corinium and Venturer enters a dangerous new phase,” the synopsis reads.
“More ruthless than ever, Tony Baddingham is determined to dismantle his rivals piece-by-piece, weaponising scandal and manipulating those closest to him to maintain his grip on power.

The series will return in two six-episode batches; the first will debut on May 15th with a three-episode premiere and the second batch will follow later in the year on Disney+ in Ireland.
Alongside Aidan and Victoria, we have David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Nafessa Williams and Bella Maclean returning to the series.
