So what can we expect?
This year’s crop of singletons includes the unforgettable encounter of Princess and Omo. Having spotted her at a club the night before, Omo is stunned when Princess turns up as his date.
Adam, a guy to whom “things just happen” arrives soaking wet, slips on his way into the restaurant, and then has to have his shirt dried with a hairdryer. His date Erin, who wears a cochlear implant, explains that if she ignores him she’s not being rude, just deaf.
And non-binary, bisexual, and polyamorous civil servant Bel from Wicklow meets pansexual Dublin hairdresser and self-described ‘”adult Emo” Sam. Intrigued? You will be.
First Dates returns on Thursday, January 4th at 9.35pm on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.
