Inis Oirr AKA Craggy Island is set to become a whole lot busier over the next few months, as the stars of Father Ted are returning during the summer.

Some of the cast, including Joe Rooney, Michael Redmond and Patrick McDonnell who played Father Stone, Father Damo and Eoin McLove on the much loved show will be heading back to the island during the month of July.

The trio will be attending the Craggy Island festival on the Aran Islands, taking part in an array of Father Ted themed games, as well as performing stand up comedy shows.

Speaking to The Sun, Joe Rooney said, “It’s going to be a great weekend. Obviously there will be loads of Ted stuff for the fans. We’re doing a treasure hunt for Father Damo’s whistle and crazy golf with Father Stone.

“Then in the evenings, there’ll be lots of live music and DJs”

If you want to head along, you better move quick as there’s only 300 spots available for the festival. Weekend tickets cost €100 and can be purchased through www.craggyislandfestival.com.
