Today marks the anniversary of Father Ted greats Dermot Morgan and Frank Kelly.
It’s been nineteen years since Dermot passed away at the age of 45-years-old, and one year since the world lost Frank at the age of seventy-seven. In an ironic twist of fate, both men died on the same date after both suffering a heart attack.
Two comedy legends, Dermot and Frank are both best known for their roles as Father Ted Crilly and Father Jack Hackett in hilarious Irish sitcom Father Ted.
The show still has comedic value today and holds a lasting legacy for the stars. Despite ending in 1998, Father Ted still airs on RTE and Chanel 4 often.
