Viewers have had their say on Denise McCormack’s Eastenders debut last night.
The Irish actress arrived in Albert Square as newbie, Kiera Maguire, and fans of the show couldn’t get enough.
A whole host of celebrity pals took to social media to share their delight and well-wishes with Denise as she began the new chapter of her career.
RTE’s Des Cahill said, “I am SO excited for my dancing buddy and wonderful actress, Denise McCormack, who begins her new role on Eastenders tonight.
“Hard work pays off. Well deserved. If you see Gary Lineker in the BBC canteen tell him Dancing Dessie was asking for him.”
James Patrice said, “‘Less chatter, more scatter’ G’wan Denise!”
While Maia Dunphy added, “Look at Denise McCormack being hot as hell on Eastenders!”
Fans of the soap were also delighted with the latest addition to the cast, with many excited to see what’s in store for her character.
