Eve Hewson is a name you will know whether it is from her incredible performance in the smash hit Bad Sisters or from her famous parents.
Either way, she is seriously relatable, revealing that she still lives at home with her mother.
The Irish star revealed all at the launch of Screen Ireland’s Slate for 2023. She noted that even while adding to her success in Hollywood, she still very much enjoys living at home.
Eve, whose most recent film, Flora and Son made some serious noise at the Sundance Film festival, has a love for playing Irish characters and can’t wait to add some more to her repertoire saying: “It’s just been so special, like working on Irish characters with Irish writers and Irish directors and just getting to be at home is such a different feeling than when you’re in the middle of nowhere”.
Apple picked up on the conversation around Flora and Son and quickly got the rights to it, a feat that director John carney was overjoyed by, seeing his ode to motherhood hit a major streaming platform like AppleTV+.
Although Hollywood has major appeal to Eve she just can’t seem to leave home even after being surrounded by some of the most prolific Hollywood actors at Sundance.
She expressed her desire to her parents, Bono and Ali Hewson, at moving stateside to help grow her success even more, but after making the move she returned home to her native Killiney not long after.

Eve’s response to how she feels about rising to the top is very simple and gained a laugh or two from us: “It’s so much fun that I’m still living with my mother”.
“She loves it. She makes fun of me all the time because I’m like; ‘I’m moving to America to become a star!’ and she’s like ‘You’re still living with your mammy.’.”
Keep an eye out for Eve in some new upcoming Irish films, you won’t want to miss them.
