Erica Cody says it would be a “dream come true” to represent Ireland in the Eurovision

Erica Cody is just one of six entries hoping to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

Erica, along with, Ailsha, JYellowL, Isabella Kearney, Bambie Thug and Next in Line are all hoping to do their country proud and be picked as this year’s entry.

However, there can of course, be only one.

Taking to Instagram, Erica opened up about how much of a dream it would be to represent Ireland.

“It’s genuinely all I can think about and would be a dream come true,” the singer posted.

“I just really feel LMLID could be the one to bring it home or at least get us to finally qualify.

“I have such big plans for the staging,” she added.

“The Eurosong is just a tiny taste of what’s to come! I feel like the last 10 years have really prepared me for a stage as big as Eurovision.

“I’m ready,” the singer added before signing off.

Erica’s song is entitled Love Me Like I Do.

Speaking on The Ray D’arcy Show, she described the song by saying: “It has never meant more to me than it does right now.

“It really helped me get through one of the most challenging times in my life while navigating a break-up.”
