Eoghan McDermott has updated fans on his wellbeing after falling victim to a ‘cowardly’ attack on St. Stephen’s night.
The Limerick native was knocked unconscious and suffered “splitting headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness” following the unprovoked incident.
He told fans about the shocking attack on Twitter.
Some coward jumped me from behind as I was walking down the road last night, got knocked unconscious. Brain scan, concussion. I’ll find you!

The 2fm DJ has now revealed that there was no permanent damage done and he should be fully recovered by the end of January.
“The good news is that there is no permanent damage and all symptoms should be completely gone come the end of January.” he wrote in The Irish Sun.
“I’m also lucky in that I feel no anxiety in terms of returning to the scene of the attack, where I have socialised for many years and will continue to do so.”
However, Eoghan has realised just how lucky he was to escape without any permanent damage, after a number of people contacted him telling him about loved ones who suffered permanent damage following an unprovoked attack.
“What has most shocked me through this whole episode is the number of people who contacted me through Facebook saying they had a loved one who did suffer permanent damage in an unprovoked attack.” he said.
“It is only for the grace of God that I didn’t fall a different way and suffer permanent brain complications, some form of paralysis or another medical catastrophe.
“So many people who made contact with me have not been so lucky — lives changed on account of some selfish and sinister coward.”
We wish Eoghan a speedy recovery.
