Elaine Crowley has revealed that she is launching her own dress collection.
The stylish TV3 host has revealed that she is working with one of her favourite brands to create a collection due to her own personal struggles with finding things to wear for formal events.
“I am launching a collection of evening dresses for size 12 up. I find it next to impossible to find dresses for occasions. SoAmazing who are based in Fashion City have been dressing me for a while now and they designed a few bespoke looks for me.
“So we decided to collaborate on a range of stylish evening wear.”
SoAmazing is the brand behind many of Elaine’s recent looks including her Peter Mark VIP Style Awards gown.
The star is still working on the collection and hopes it will be available in the next few months.
“We are just signing off on designs and are waiting for the samples to arrive. So hopefully by the end of the summer, the first collection will be available,” she said.
Speaking to VIP Magazine in our April issue, Elaine explained that there was a lack of body diversity when she was growing up.
“There weren’t any role models who weren’t skinny when I was younger, there was just the Kate Mosses of the world; there were no Ashley Grahams knocking about the place, telling you that it’s ok to not be thin.
“I’m not advocating anybody to be obese by any stretch of the imagination, but you can be healthy and be a size 16 and that’s fine. I know that now.”
