Dyson’s new Supersonic Nural hair dryer sounds like an absolute game changer!

If you’re anything like us, you’ll be a big fan of Dyson.

The Airwrap, the Airstrait, the range of hair styling tools that make achieving your favourite look all that easier…

And now, the much loved brand have just introduced their most intelligent hair dryer yet, the Supersonic Nural hair dryer.

The incredible new product is equipped with new sensor technology to create Scalp protect mode. This mode uses a network of Nural sensors, automatically reducing heat and airflow as it nears your head, helping protect your scalp from damage.

These sensors also improve the styling experience, enhance hair shine, and prevent the hair from heat damage. How incredible is that?

The hair dryer also comes with new and improved attachments equipped with attachment recognition, allowing the product to learn the user’s styling preferences and ensure the hair is fast drying and healthy.

Founder and chief engineer James Dyson says that the new product is the latest in the company’s long line of innovative styling products.

“If you’re able to limit heat damage, you can get a healthier scalp, and healthier hair,” he says: “Our new Supersonic Nural has a time of flight sensor which recognises your head and reduces the heat as it gets close to your hair, preventing heat damage to both your scalp and your hair.

“Innovation only comes from investing in research and development. Our obsession to truly understand the root of the problem continues, as we build up some of the most sophisticated hair laboratories in the world.”

The Nural also comes with a new Pause detect feature, a motion-sensing accelerometer which automatically deactivates the heater, decreasing airflow and noise, when you are in between styling passes.

Its new attachments also include a Wave+Curl diffuser, a reversible airflow that creates defined waves, curls and coils while you dry. Incredible.

Shawn Lim, Head of Research at Dyson, says: “From our research into the science of hair, we know that there is a connection between the quality of hair and a healthy scalp.

“The scalp tissue comprises different layers, with the outermost layer serving as a barrier against external stressors. But when your scalp is damaged, moisture loss can occur, a key factor in our development of the Scalp protect mode feature. This helps to maintain scalp moisture levels and allows for gentle drying.”

The Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer is arriving in Ireland in May 2024, in bold new colour palettes – Ceramic Patina and Topaz or the Vinca Blue and Topaz.

It’s safe to say we can’t wait to get our hands on one…

Dyson will also be joining us at this year’s Style Awards in our beauty suite, where they’ll be helping us create some incredible looks on our fabulous guests. Cast your votes here now, if you haven’t already!
