RTE star Deirdre O’Kane has announced the tragic death of her cousin, Criostoir.
Sharing the sad news on her Instagram, the 53-year-old wrote:
“My gorgeous talented cousin Criostoir McLaughlin died suddenly on Thursday”
Going on to share a gorgeous tribute to her much-loved cousin, she said:
“We are all still reeling with shock… it makes no sense! To say he will be missed by his family and those closest to him doesn’t begin to cover it”

Dr. Ciara Kelly was also affected by the loss of Criostoir, which she explained as she shared her condolences with Deirdre.
“Didn’t know you were cousins D I’m pals w Grainne we are all do shocked locally it’s just devastating hope you’re ok xxx” wrote Dr. Ciara.
