Daniel O’Donnell has just announced the arrival of his first grandson.
Majella’s daughter Siobhan, who is already a proud mum to little Olivia, gave birth to her second child earlier this week.
Gushing over the tiny tot, Daniel revealed his joy in having the youngster named after him.
“The New Year started off great for us with the arrival of our first grandson, Archie Daniel Thomas Shields who was born on the 17th Jan,” he said.
“Everyone in the family is just thrilled. A new brother for Olivia, and Siobhion and Archie are doing really well.
“Siobhan and Gavin are very proud parents, as are Majella and myself.”
Just before Christmas, Daniel told VIP Magazine of his excitement over the impending arrival.
“Olivia is the apple of my eye. She’s a brilliant child,” he said with a smile.
“We can’t wait to welcome a new life to the family. They bring so much joy. It’ll be a wonderful time.”
