Yesterday we reported that Conor McGregor splashed the cash and treated his devoted girlfriend Dee Devlin to a luxurious shopping trip, and now we know how he afforded it.
According to UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, Conor is set to earn $100m from his fighting career, becoming the first mixed martial artist to do so.
Speaking to ESPN, Fertitta said The Notorious will be “our first $100 millionaire.”
We’d imagine Conor will have lots of fun spending this – and perhaps Dee might just give him a helping hand.
The news of his incredible earnings come just after huge Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock paid tribute to the fighter.
The actor and former WWE star posted a picture of Conor on his Instagram page, saying, “Congrats The Notorious. You’re on your way to becoming an icon. Respect.”
This isn’t the first Hollywood movie star who has backed Conor, as Vin Diesel recently hinted at a possible collaboration with the Dubliner.
