When Georgia Penna (nee Salpa) announced she had become a mum to twin baby boys, there was widespread delight for the gorgeous model, with all her celebrity pals tweeting her their congratulations.
But there was also some confusion – how could she have given birth after showing off an incredible bikini body on her honeymoon with husband Joe this summer?
After she vehemently denied that her babies were adopted, as one paper reported, sources say Georgia in fact used a surrogate mum to have her kids.
The Irish Mirror today reports that a source close to the beauty says she was “thrilled” when a third party agreed to make her dream of motherhood a reality.
The insider said: “Georgia’s twins were born with the help of a surrogate. The surrogate was arranged in the US and she is over the moon to have two healthy, happy baby boys.”
News first emerged of Georgia’s newfound motherhood when a paper claimed she’d been spotted with a pram and alleged she had adopted the babies.
But Georgia took to Twitter to deny this, with the following statement: “Delighted with the arrival of twin boys, the most special perfect little babies and we are so in love with them.”
“They are not adopted. I won’t be posting any photos of them on social media as I’d like to keep them private. We’re very, very happy.”
