Earlier this year it was reported that Fair City’s Clelia Murphy was heading down the aisle.
Her longtime partner, Neil Casley, apparently got down on bended knee and popped the question.
However, both parties had remained silent on the matter for the last couple of weeks.
Now it looks like Clelia has confirmed that they are in the midst of wedding planning.
She posted a picture of a Wedding Journal to her Instagram revealing that she would be spending 2023 with her head in it.
“So this is what I’ll/We’ll be mostly be doing in 2023. But I’ve got the @moleskine #wedding #journal So we’ll be grand!!!!” she wrote.
”#GRAND!!!!!! I’ll be eating the Christmas dinner whilst doing squats and burpees… it’ll be grand! GRAND!!!! ….How about #Halo for the Wedding March @beyonce Got to start somewhere….”
Speaking about the engagement back in September, a source told The Irish Mail on Sunday: “Clelia was blown-away. When they reconnected it brought all those teenage flutters back. So when he asked her to marry him, it really was a case of an offer that was never going to be refused.”
Clelia left Fair City in 2017 after an impressive 22 years on the series as Niamh.
Following her exit from the soap, she took on a new challenge, and hit the dance floor, in Dancing With The Stars in 2019.
She is currently starring in the BBC’s hit series Doctors, playing nurse Maeve Ludlow. For the project, Clelia relocated to Birmingham, England, where the show is filmed.
