Last night saw former Fair City actor Clelia Murphy crash out of Dancing With The Stars following a dramatic dance off with comedian Fred Cooke.

On Eurovision week, the star narrowly missed out on a spot in next week’s semi final to Fred and his partner Guilia, after judges Loraine Barry and Julian Benson both voted against Clelia and Vitali.

Speaking after the shocking result, the 43-year-old said she loved every minute of her experience on the dance floor.

“It’s been an absolutely fantastic experience…if anyone gets asked to do it – do it!,” she told presenters Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne.

“I wanted to get it right for him (Vitali) as much as for me. These are friends for life. It’s a wonderful thing to be part of.”

Speaking after the show, Clelia revealed that she thought this might have been her last dance.

“I think for me, personally, the slower dances are harder.” she told RSVP.

“I wasn’t sure what way it was going to go because I was just thinking to myself, ‘I’ve done the best that I could do there’,” she said.

“I have to respect the judges. It’s an entertainment show, and Fred is bringing the entertainment.”

Next week will see the remaining four couples compete for a spot in the live final, with Johnny Ward, Mairead Ronan, Cliona Hagan and Fred Cooke all hoping to take the top spot.
