Cillian Murphy might finally be picking up his well-deserved Academy Award.
The Cork man put on the performance of his lifetime in Oppenheimer which hit cinemas over the weekend.
The three-hour biopic tells the story of the man who created the atomic bomb during World War II.
While the Oscars are six months away, his performance has fueled nomination talk already.
BoyleSports are now offering odds of 10/1 that Cillian will walk away with the Best Lead Actor gong in 2024.
And sure wouldn’t we only be delighted.
It’s not just bookies who are confident the actor will walk away one gold statuette richer, moviegoers also shared the same sentiment on social media.

Cillian is being kept busy in any case as it’s not just Oppenheimer he is working on.
Before the actor’s strike earlier this month, the Cork man had been working on Small Things Like These.
He was filming the Irish movie in New Ross in Wexford earlier this year.
And we might even get a rom-com in Cillian’s future as he joked about starring in one at the BAFTAs.
“No one sends me those scripts, I don’t get sent the romantic comedies,” he explained.
Well, he’s a pretty busy man!
