Anne Doyle and Mary Kennedy to cheer Eileen Dunne on at DWTS this week

Eileen Dunne will be cheered on this weekend in the Dancing with the Stars studio by her pals Mary Kennedy and Anne Doyle!

What an iconic trio!

Mary was one of the people who helped Eileen say yes to DWTS.

Eileen tells VIP Magazine that she got some great advice from Mary: “Mary just said to enjoy it and she’s so right, it is such a privilege to be taught how to dance by these professionals and get to work with them. It’s not just what we’re doing, but it’s to get an insight into their lives too and how they operate. It’s fascinating on so many levels.”

She then adds: “Mary and Anne Doyle are coming this weekend, so they’ll be in the audience.”

She has also been cheered on by her husband Macdara and her son Cormac.

“Macdara is down in Galway recording Ros na Rún but he’s coming and Cormac is coming home in two weeks. But he’s seen the clips, I’m not sure if he’s mortified or what, but he’s sounding enthusiastic!” she laughs.

And it’s not just those who she knows who are cheering her on. She tells us that the support has been “great”.

“In the local supermarket, people, usually my own age, say, ‘Fair play to you. I’m not sure I could do it.’ I’m just hoping that translates into votes this Sunday because we’re getting close to elimination,” she cheekily adds.

Some people who might not be on her side are the judging panel, Arthur Gourounlian, Loraine Barry and Brian Redmond. So how does she deal with their comments?

“They know what they’re talking about so you have to take it on board. But they have a job to do as well, and we realise that the public vote is just as important,” she admits.

“So we’ll take their advice but we have to wait to see what the public say as well. If I was to go by the judges I’d be second last so we’ll see what happens.”
