The trailer for Liam Neeson’s new film Silence has just been released and it looks intense. The 17th century flick is directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese, and also stars Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver.
Silence is about two Portuguese priests who travel to Japan in search of their mentor played by 68-year-old Liam. At a time where Christianity was outlawed, and the serious danger this trip posed to their lives, both men spread the word of God while on a quest to find their friend.
Based on the 1966 novel of the same name by Shusaku Endo, the film also stars Irish actor Ciarán Hinds, has already been tipped for an Oscar.
Silence is set to hit Irish cinemas on the 6th of January 2017. You can check out the trailer here:
