Carl Mullan and Lewis Capaldi made headlines this week, when the DJ revealed Lewis stopped by his DWTS rehearsal, and now fans have finally gotten a glimpse at the Scottish hit makers visit to the dance studio.

This weeks episode showed exactly what happened when Carl met Lewis. Needless to say the pair got on brilliantly, with Carl gushing that Lewis is “as nice” as he seems.

Lewis surprised Carl and pro-dancer Emily Barker, popping in during their rehearsal, shouting: “Sparkly arse! How we doing? What’s happening? How’s it going brother?”

Shocked Carl’s first reaction was, simply: “SHUT UP! Holy! What’s the craic? Jesus Lewis”

Lewis shared how he knew he had to stop by, after hearing they would be dancing to his song Pointless.

Joking: “I heard whispers on docks. They should be feeling nervous because I, myself, am quite a mover and shaker. I’ve been known to tread the boards.”

Carl then taught Lewis some of their routine, taking the coaching position from Emily, and giving the Someone You Love singer some dancing tips.

At the end of his visit, Lewis shared his support for Carl, saying: “I’m so excited to see Carl and Emily take on the Viennese, not Vietnamese, Viennese waltz to my song Pointless. It’s gonna be sick.”

Emily and Carl most certainly did Lewis proud, earning a score of 22 for their stellar performance.

Speaking with host Doireann Garrihy after their spin on the dance floor, Carl gushed over how brilliant Lewis was and confessed he didn’t believe it was actually the Forget Me singer at first.

Explaining to pal Doireann why he couldn’t tell anyone before it was posted to social media, he said: “We were sworn to secrecy. I hadn’t got clue hadn’t got a clue. We were in the middle of, actually doing the fleckerl.”

“That’s when he burst into the room. I honestly thought, ‘ohh there after getting an impersonator’ but it was actually him and he is as nice in real life as he comes across me.”
