Carl Mullan and wife Aisling welcomed their second child last week, announcing her birth just days ago, and sharing her stunning name.
The couple named their daughter Éala, and fans were quick to rave about the gorgeous moniker.
Now Aisling is opening up about their daughter’s beautiful name, admitting they nearly opted for something different.
“We had another name picked out, didn’t take us long to change,” she wrote on Instagram.
Sharing how they discovered the unique name through a friend.
As the mum-of-two explained: “I came across it through a friend from Boston. Told her I was going to steal it to add to our list.”
The couple are already parents to 2-year-old Daibhí, and just welcomed baby Éala to the family last week, announcing her arrival on social media.
“We have a daughter,” Carl wrote alongside an adorable black-and-white picture of the newborn.
“Éala Mullan arrived bounding in a little early like her big brother on 16/08. The best surprise!! Another Girlie Wirlie in the house!” the proud dad gushed.
The radio presenter also shared a video montage of sweet moments from the day their daughter was born.
Offering followers an update on how Aisling and the baby are doing, he wrote: “Our beautiful little girl arrived last week and she and her Mam are doing great. We’ve spent the last few days just soaking up every second of having her here.”
He also commended his wife, praising: “To Éala and Daibhí’s superhero Mam – Our amazing [Aisling] – as usual I know you’ll cringe reading this cos you don’t want the attention. But you are incredible. We are SO SO lucky to have you. Thank you for bringing our beautiful son and now our beautiful daughter into the world. We love you so much.”
