Carl Mullan is “so excited” to become a parent once again as he announces wife Aisling is expecting their second child.

Already a proud dad to his one-year-old son Daibhí and adorable dog Angie, the 2FM presenter took to Instagram this morning to share the happy news with friends and followers alike.

Starting off the post Carl teased he had something big to share, writing: “A bit of news friends…in the midst of all the madness of the last few months, we felt we needed a little more of it just for the craic.

“We’ve a new little brother/sister on the way for Daibhí and Angie this summer,” he added.

Carl then praised his wife Ais for being “absolutely incredible” while he was busy with Dancing with the Stars earlier this year – all while she was pregnant!

“Holding down a full time job, keeping the house running and generally just looking after the entire family?” he added in disbelief.

“I couldn’t be prouder or more grateful to her.”

Finally, Carl concluded the post by expressing his excitement about being a parent again writing: “Becoming a parent alongside Ais has been the absolute adventure of a lifetime, and I’m so excited to get to do it all over again.”

Earlier this year, Carl shared the tragic news that he and Aisling had suffered a pregnancy loss quite early on.

However, the comedian admitted that they would be continuing with their plan for more children.

“Pregnancy loss is, unfortunately, a part of life though, and we’ll keep trying because we’d love more kids,” he said at the time.

We are delighted to hear this news and wish the happy couple a huge congratulations on their pregnancy!
