Caitríona Perry announced earlier this summer that she would be leaving RTÉ for a new role at BBC.
And it looks like she is settling into her new role perfectly.
She shared a picture of her preparing for her first day in the job.
The news presenter looked glamorous with her blonde locks styled in a bouncy blowdry as she was styled in a blue shirt.
“New office today! First day at @BBCNews . First time in the anchor chair for @BBC World News America. #newgirl #bbcnews #bbcwna @BBCWorld #newsanchor @pbs,” she captioned the picture.
Of course she was inundated with good luck messages from her followers.
“The very best of luck Catriona – fantastic achievement and greatly deserved We will be watching,” one person wrote.
“No stopping you now. You go girl,” another added.
“The very best of luck, Caitriona! Not your first rodeo!” a third person added.
She signed off for her final RTÉ news broadcast in May after 16 years with the broadcaster.
She shared the news that she would be moving back to Washington and begin working for the BBC just a few weeks before signing off.
