Boyzone’s Mikey Graham has warned the public about a phone call scam going around.
The singer was targeted in a fraudulent phone call and took to twitter to tell his followers.
“Alert to everyone. I received a fraudulent call from +3531 5133444 pretending that I owed tax money and to pay it in the next 1:30 hours,” he said.
The scammer then said he would be arrested if he did now comply. However, when Mikey asked them to quote his social security number, they couldn’t.
Mikey urged fans to pass on the information to others to avoid anyone getting caught out.
“Please spread the word so no one else has to endure what I just went through,” he concluded.
