Bernie Sanders, who ran in last year’s American presidential election, will visit Dublin for the first time this summer.
The politician will be heading up the event ‘An evening with Bernie Sanders’ at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on the 4th of June, as part of the Dalkey Book Festival.
Director of the festival Sian Smyth has said, “It is an extraordinary privilege for the Dalkey Book Festival to host Bernie Sanders, we are truly delighted to bring him to Ireland for the first time.
“He is an iconic political figure of our time, a stunning orator and with such turmoil in the US and globally we are very much looking forward to hearing his thoughts and insights.”
Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday and are priced at €15 each.
