Audrey Hamilton welcomed her baby girl into the world in October.
Over the last 10 months, Audrey’s life has changed for the better as she waded into motherhood.
One of the new parts of her life is breastfeeding.
To mark World Breastfeeding Week Audrey shared the realities of deciding to go down this route for almost a year.

She shared a picture of herself with her pal Georgie Crawford at the bathroom of this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards where she took the opportunity to pump.
“This isn’t a post about pro-breastfeeding or encouraging anyone to do so. It’s a post to show that your life doesn’t go on hold while you breastfeed your baby,” she explained.
“A comment/question I get asked a lot is ‘how long are you going to feed her yourself for? Do you not want to get your social life back?’ That’s not what BF is about. It’s not designed to take away your social life or put your world on pause. It’s purely a way of feeding your baby,” she wrote.
“I work, I go out, I socialise, I still do all the things that I did before having a baby, the only thing that’s changed, is having a baby, not breastfeeding my baby. So if it is something you want to do for yourself and your child but the want to continue the things you love also has you torn, this post is to remind you you can do it all. Here to support ALL mothers and normalise breastfeeding past the age of 6 months in Ireland.”
