Burgundy mascara has roughly 20 million views on the app.
The trend kicked off with the idea that burgundy would really help green eyes pop. This is to do with colour theory, as red is directly across the colour wheel from green. This means that it enhances the green in your eyes.
Usually this is achieved by using reddy eyeshadows for green eyes, greens for brown eyes, bronze for blue eyes and purples for hazel eyes, the new trend is bringing the colour straight to your eyelashes.
But that doesn’t mean that burgundy mascara is exclusively for green-eyed gals!
