Fancy being crowned Ireland’s Fittest Family 2023? Do you think you have what it takes to win Ireland’s most extreme fitness competition?
Well, it’s that time of year again because Ireland’s Fittest Family is back and applications are now open for this year’s show.
In its eleventh season, this year is expected to be the most challenging yet in terms of competition.
RTÉ and the Ireland’s Fittest Family team are on the hunt to find the fittest, fastest and strongest families across the country.
Each team will be coached by an incredible coach whose competitiveness will hopefully drive the family to victory.

Last year Davy Fitzgerald, Waterford county team hurling manager, coached last year’s winners, the Nugents from Louth, to victory.

The €15,000 cash prize is an added bonus to the glory of being crowned winner of Ireland’s Fittest Family.

So what are the requirements to apply?
Well, you must be a four-person team. If you don’t have four immediate family members you are welcome to include an extended family member like a grandparent, aunt or uncle on your four-person team.
All teams must have at least one female and one male competitor. The minimum age required to take part in the competition is 14 years old. You must have celebrated your 14th birthday by June 27th 2023.
You must also be available for filming between July and September 2023.
