Former Miss Ireland has opened up about her idyllic family life with hubby Gordon D’Arcy, and their baby Soleil, revealing that things couldn’t be better for them.
The couple who married in 2012, welcomed little Soleil into the world last May, and can’t get enough of her.
Speaking to Evoke, Aoife gushed, “Soleil is a little angel. We got very, very lucky. She sleeps through the night and has done from 10 weeks old. She’s a gorgeous little bundle.”
Since Gordon retired from rugby last year, he’s had a lot more time to spend with his family – much to Aoife’s delight.
“It’s lovely having Gordon not playing every weekend now too, because people don’t realise the players are away for such a long time.
“For the Six Nations, it’s three months of living in Carton House. When Soleil was born, he was in camp for the World Cup, and that was full on, so now it’s a real treat to have him there,” she said.
Making the most of this, the three jetted off on a two-month holiday to South Africa and Mauritius.
The family enjoyed the back-packing trip, and took in the stunning sights with little Soleil in tow.
“We went travelling for the couple of months and it was so easy with a baby. She was great. We went all around South Africa and Mauritius. It was amazing,” she said.
We’re not jealous at all. Swear!
