Amanda Brunker celebrates her 42nd birthday today, but she’s not one bit happy about getting older.
The Dubliner admitted her despair at being in her 40’s, and going from an “it girl” to “middle aged mammy”.
Amanda has said that she can’t help but feel disheartened at the fact that younger models and bloggers have creeped up in recent years and are asked to make appearances over her.
Although she doesn’t begrudge them for making a name for themselves, she is slightly jealous of them.
“A new breed of feisty feminists have appeared on the scene. Bloggers and Vloggers and twenty-something influencers who I’ve never heard of are being booked to do appearances and give comments instead of me.
“Though I must admit it was difficult not to be a little insulted when entertainment programmes like Xpose kept asking young wans to host their show, instead of me, over the last year.
“But on reflection, I’m just too old. That’s OK,” she wrote in her column for The Herald.
The blonde bombshell is coming to terms with the fact that she is getting older, but she can’t help but feel overlooked at times.
She says she still feels 25, and well, we think she doesn’t look a day over 21!
