Downton Abbey’s second feature film was released at the end of April. But it seems the cast are already looking for the next project to chronical the Crawley family. As Allen Leech, who plays Tom Branson, has revealed he would love a spin-off to follow Branson, when he was younger.
While there is nothing official yet, Allen has already thought about casting, revealing he would love Niall Horan to play the young version of his character.
Speaking to movies.ie, he confessed; “A spin-off, or we go back in time, and Niall Horan could play young Branson; everyone keeps saying we look alike.”
It would make a lot of sense for Niall to play a younger Allen as the pair are always compared to each other.

The lads have joked about how much they look a like before.
Previously on Twitter, Niall let Allen know just how a like they looked after a waiter compared them. He wrote; “waiter just said to me “ did anyone ever tell you that you look exactly like the guy from Downton Abbey?”
Also saying; “It’s gone beyond a joke now”
Meanwhile Allen has joke that the resemblance is so strong Niall could be his child.
Joking while on American chat show, Watch What Happens Live, the Dubliner said; “He’s my son.”
“I had him really young. I had the choice to give him to the circus or a boy band, I chose a boy band. He’s done much better there because his backflips are terrible.”
