Allen Leech delighted to show family around Ireland for the first time
Downton Abbey actor Allen Leech has just touched down in Ireland. Happy to be back home and make the most of his trip, this time Allen has his growing family in tow, adding an extra layer of excitement to the holiday.
The first port of call for the star was the Dublin premiere of Downton Abbey: A New Era which took place in The Stella cinema in Rathmines.
Chatting on the red carpet, Allen shared that this was the first time he has been able to bring his family to Ireland. Due to COVID restrictions, his daughter has not been able to meet much of her Irish family, something Allen is excited to do on this trip during his downtime.
“She hasn’t met some of her cousins, she hasn’t met my sister she hasn’t met her aunt” he told EVOKE.
“When we landed she screamed ‘I’m in Ireland, I came on an aeroplane!’ she’s pretty happy and then she grabbed on to an Irish flag so I couldn’t be prouder!”
It’s an exciting time for Allen and his family at the minute. While they’re all go with Allen’s new movie, they’re also preparing for a new addition to the family.
Sharing the news that his wife is 18 weeks pregnant earlier this week, he told Goss:
“[It’s been] good, so much so that we’re going to go again. My wife is 18 weeks pregnant now”
Allen and wife Jessica have been married for three years, tying the knot in a lavish ceremony in California last year.
