Fans of Game Of Thrones have been eagerly anticipating the return of the show for it’s final season ever since the explosive last episode of season seven.
Now, we may be one step closer to finding out who will take the Iron Throne, as new details of the eight season of the HBO smash hit have been revealed.
Bosses have confirmed that, unfortunately, GOT will not return to our screens until 2019, with a whole year needed to film the intense and detailed scenes.
“‘Game Of Thrones’ will return for its six episode, eighth and final season in 2019.” HBO said in a statement.
The final season will feature just six episodes, as opposed to the regular ten per season.

As of yet, no details of casting has been announced, with viewers eager to find out what faces will be making a comeback as the clash of clans finally comes to a head.
Is it 2019 yet?
