Aidan Turner’s ex Sarah Greene has opened up about the struggle she went through following her breakup from the Irish actor in 2015.
The 31-year-old and the Poldark star kept quiet about their split, choosing not to publicly bash each other. However, the same couldn’t be said for the public.
Speaking to Image Magazine Sarah revealed that many onlookers were quick to comment on her past relationship, and some of what they were saying hit her hard.
“No one likes that scrutiny or people thinking they know something about you and they’re just guessing – you know, reading a ‘source says’ and taking that as verbatim. I just ignore it now though and I did at the time as well.
“At first it got to me and then it was like, ‘you know what? People can say whatever they want, people are always going to say whatever they want.’
“My mates and my family know who I am and that’s all I really care about. Making my parents proud and happy,” she said.
Although Aidan is reportedly dating advertising executive Tara Derakshan, Sarah is more than happy being single right now, and isn’t on the hunt for a man.
“I’m not on the lookout right now so I haven’t really thought about it. If I meet someone nice, great, but I’m very happy on my tod,” she said.
