The crème-de-la-crème of Dublin’s fashion elite were out in force on Wednesday evening.

The launch the 2015 Dublin Fashion Festival welcomed Irish style queen Pippa O’Connor Ormond as the face of this year’s event. Pippa, who follows in the footsteps of Irish stars such as Laura Whitmore, Angela Scanlon and Amanda Byram, looked stunning at the launch in a striking black fitted jumpsuit.

Guests, including top model Rozanna Purcell, blogger Suzanne Jackson, stylists Justine King and Sonja Mohlich and UTV presenter Alison Comynat, were treated to delicious canapés from San Lorenzo’s including Chicken Ceaser crostini, Salmon with peperonata and basil, and Sicilian aubergine caponata with goats cheese and preserved lemon. These were served along with tasty tipples from cocktail masters at The Meeting House, Temple Bar.

On departure, guests received a gift bag crammed with goodies including a voucher for Penneys, Arnotts cosmetics, Brooke and Shoals candles, Only vouchers, delicious Propercorn treats and complimentary after party drinks in The Meeting House.

Speaking of her involvement in the festival, Pippa commented: “I’m thrilled to be working with DublinTown on this year’s Dublin Fashion Festival. Being the face of the Festival is an honour and is something I wanted to do for couple of years now

“I have always championed Irish style and I love the charm and energy of Dublin fashion.  Nothing compares to shopping in the capital there’s always something different to see and experience so I’m really looking forward to what the festival has in store, I’ve no doubt that it will be a fantastic week”.

Putting a sense of fun and theatre back into shopping and socializing in the capital, Dublin Fashion Festival celebrates all things fashion. This year, the best of the city’s fashion retailers are on hand to host on-street fashion shows on Grafton Street and Henry Street, night-time extravaganzas, exciting in-store events, exhibitions, stylathons, and much, much more.
