Grace Mongey has opened up about the moment Chris Gernon popped the question.
The blogger, who goes by Faces By Grace revealed just how surprised she when the proposal took place last weekend.
The couple, who share daughter Sienna, were visiting Grace’s late father’s favourite spot in Co. Wexford when Chris got down on one knee.
“It was a big, big surprise and I’m glad it was because I always I thought I’ll definitely know when he’s going to do it, I’ll suss him, but he completely caught me off guard,” Grace told VIP.
“He kept trying to put me off!”
Rumours surfaced that the couple had gotten engaged earlier in the month while in New York after Grace shared a sweet photo of the two.
“Sorry to disappoint everyone, but I wasn’t hiding anything in that last picture,” she clarified at the time.
“So many people thought we were going to get engaged in New York and I said it on Snapchat last week, I knew there was no sign of a ring, not yet.”
Little did she know that the engagement was just around the corner.
Grace even told VIP that her husband to be had been elaborately planning for ‘the last six months.’
Chris had also divulged his top-secret plans to Grace’s sisters who were there to snap photos and videos of the romantic moment, which Grace is still ecstatic about.
“I can’t believe it,” she gushed. “I’m still in shock. Still drinking Prosecco, still celebrating!”
The top influencer also revealed her wedding plans and the time of year she has in mind.
