Des Bishop and his long-time love Xuan Xuan have parted ways after nearly two years together.
The comedian and Chinese actress met in 2014, when Des moved to Beijing to start a new chapter in his life, and they continued to have a long distance relationship when he left Asia.
However, it seems that the strain of being continents apart became too much for the couple, as they’ve decided to call time on their romance.
Des has revealed that the pair split just before Christmas due to the long distance and Xuan experiencing trouble acquiring a visa.
“It was always a long distance relationship from when I left China.” he told the Sunday World.
“It was impossible to continue, so what you going to do – that’s life. It’s a pity.
“We got on great, but even when we were together, we’d have a major visa drama and her visa was rejected once to go to the States. It was just a major hassle in every way.”
Unlike most messy celebrity break-ups, Des has said that their split was amicable, and they’re still in contact.
“I still keep in touch with her, there’s just nothing we could do.” he said.
“I’m free and single at the moment.”
Des is currently taking part in Dancing with the Stars and has revealed that he’s been getting a lot of attention from older ladies since starting the show!
