Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Dublin yesterday and kicked off their visit with a summer garden party at the British Embassy.
The event gave the Duke and Duchess of Sussex an opportunity people across Ireland’s arts, sports, military and social enterprise sectors.
Many of our favourite Irish celebs were there and took to social media to share their experiences.
The couple met people from the tv, comedy and film world including Amy Huberman, Aisling Bea, Barry Keoghan, Caitriona Balfe and Lucy Kennedy.
They also met activists and journalists such as Sinead Burke, Una Mullay and Vicky Phelan who exposed the CervicalCheck controversy.
Stars in sport such as Brian O’Driscoll and Ruby Walsh also met with the royal couple.
Louise McSharry DJ’d the party playing music from all contemporary Irish artists.
The radio presenter and activist also said that Meghan praised her for her work on empowering women, which she had read about.
Meghan wore an elegant black belted dress by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead.
Prince Harry also made a speech where he spoke about our bond as neighbouring countries and made a toast to the people of Ireland, even throwing in a little Gaeilge!
