This weekend sees the drama continue in The Great Irish Bake Off Tent.

In previous episodes, we’ve seen Hazel Ryan Sheehan fainting and show favourite Clare Ryan fleeing the tent in tears, and now another baker has let the emotion get the better of him.

Sunday evening’s show will show baker Neil Reid being reduced to tears after a gruelling five hour Mad Hatter Tea Party’ showstopper left him feeling overwhelmed.

During the episode, the sixth in this series, the bakers tackle Party Week in an attempt to get a place in the semi-final.

With a double elimination looming ahead of them, the contestants were feeling the pressure as they attempted to showcase their baking talent by creating a cake using 30 items and five different elements.

After making a mistake with his bake, Neill told the cameras: “Are you joking me, no, no, they’re not going to work, so what am I going to do? Ah come on, you can’t lose it that quick!!! How could I get away with this one?”
