You wouldn’t think it when looking at her, but the thing Una Foden misses most about her native Ireland is Tayto crips and Cadbury’s chocolate.
The svelte Saturdays star may have a bod to kill for, but she has admitted that when she’s home in Tipperary, she stocks up on her fave fattening treats.
The Voice of Ireland judge has settled in Northampton with husband Ben and kids Aoife Belle and Tadgh, but she says she’d move back here in a heartbeat.
“I think I would because I always miss it – even the shops. I was in Spar the other day and I bought loads of junk food because there was all the kind of stuff you can’t get in the UK,” the 34-year-old said.
And the beauty has revealed she’s delighted to be moving home to Thurles temporarily when the live shows of the Voice of Ireland kick off.
“I just like it because I get to be home again and it’s good for Aoife and Tadhg to have a routine and not be flying over and back with them,” she said.
“Having kids and working is hard, but you can manage it – you just have to have the help around.
“My mum is helping with baby Tadhg and Ben’s mum is helping with Aoife in Northampton, so they’re split up at the moment while I’m filming the blind auditions.
“Aoife’s going to nursery three times a week, so I didn’t want to take her out of her routine,” she told the Herald.
