Louis is set to return to The X Factor for the upcoming series later this year.
According to the Irish Independent, the Mayo man has signed a new contract with Simon Cowell, that will see him returning to our screens this September.
Simon and Louis have clearly built bridges since their spat last year, when Louis was left out of the panel line up for the first time in 11 years.
On Tuesday, Rita Ora announced she wouldn’t be returning to judge the X Factor this year. This follows the departure of Cheryl Fernandez Versini and Nick Grimshaw earlier this year.
The ratings from last year’s X Factor were significantly lower than any other year, so it’s been reported that Simon wants to go back to basics, with the judging panel in particular.
It has been speculated that X Factor regulars Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger could be joining Louis and Simon on the panel, making it the ultimate throwback!
The 2016 series is set to hit our screens this September.
