Brian Dowling and Arthur Gouroulian don’t do things by half. In any aspect of their lives.
So when we join them to chat Christmas plans for our December issue, we know we’re in for a treat.
While the couple love the finer things in life, for them nothing is more important than their families.
Family is the centre of their universe especially when it comes to Christmas.
Sharing their Christmas plans, Arthur tells us: “Before the kids, we’d always go to Brian’s family home but since the kids are here and my mom isn’t getting any younger, I want to spend as many Christmases as possible with them all together.

“As Armenians, we don’t usually celebrate Christmas but she comes here, so we’ll be at home with Aoife and my mam, and then on Stephens’ Day we go to Brian’s family in Rathangan.”
Speaking about the importance of family, Brian says: “My mum sadly passed away in 2018, Arthur’s father passed away when he was much younger. My dad is in Rathangan and so to have Tati here with us too will be special. Everyone works really hard. We’re like any other family, just trying to do our best.
“Arthur and I don’t stop and we’re blessed with every opportunity but Christmas is a time to switch off. I eat whatever I want. If I want a Lucozade or Club Rock Shandy at 8am, I’ll have it. If I want a Jacobs Chocolate Kimberly dipped in Fanta, I’ll have that too.”
