Amanda Byram began her career with TV3 in the late 90’s when she worked on Ireland AM, and it seems the star could be going back to work for the station again very soon.
While on the Anton Savage Show today, she revealed that she’d love to do more work in Ireland, and confirmed that she’s been in talks with her former employers about some upcoming shows.
“I am speaking to TV3 at the moment about bits and pieces. There is a definite possibility. I’m not opposed to the idea as long as the gig is right and it’s a challenge for me,” she said.
Amanda revealed she’d love to work in as many countries as possible, but coming home would be great: “I talk about coming back a lot actually. The dream is to be able to do a little bit everywhere, to do something in London and to do something in Ireland.”
She continued, “When I come back, I pick and choose the stuff I do because the last thing you want is for people to get sick of your face and be over-exposed.”
While Amanda’s not saying what exactly she plans to work on within TV3, the station are apparently making an Irish version of hit Australian DIY show, House Rules.
A source told The Herald, “Production on the show is set to begin next year so names attached to the show could emerge in the next few months.”
The news comes following the announcement that the Total Wipeout star will be hosting this year’s inaugural IFTA Television Awards on October 22.
