Storm Emma hit parts of the country very badly last night, with a red weather warning in place in all counties.
Blizzards and heavy snow fall were the main issues affecting the country, with Met Eireann and The National Emergency Co-ordination Group keeping Irish People updated.
This morning, a new statement has been issued by the National Emergency Co-ordination Group, stating that the advice issued to the public to stay on doors has been revoked.
A red level warning is still in place for Munster, Leinster and Co.Galway, with the rest of the country on a status orange warning.
However they have now said that the worst of the blizzard conditions have passed and they no longer advise people to stay indoors.
The public are still being advised to excercise high caution as conditions on roads and footpaths are still icy
